Highlights: Twente 1-1 PSV

FC Twente marked their return to the Dutch Eredivisie with a 1-1 draw at home to PSV Eindhoven in the opening weekend of the new season.

It took the Tukkers just eight minutes to open the scoring through a solo effort from Keito Nakamura on his debut for the club. The Japan Under-20 international cut in from the left wing and fired a 20-yard effort across Jereon Zoet’s goal, into the far corner.

PSV dominated the possession and territory but created few clear-cut opportunities all game. They eventually equalised 20 minutes into the second half when Denzel Dumfries found himself unmarked to head home a corner.

Mark van Bommel’s side were without Hirving Lozano amid speculation he could be on his way to Napoli before the end of this summer’s transfer window. Striker Luuk de Jong was sold to Sevilla last month, so 20-year-old Donyell Malen started up front.
