Highlights: PSG 5-0 Lyon
Kylian Mbappe scored four goals in the second half as Paris Saint-Germain thumped Lyon for five to continue their 100% winning start to the 2018-19 Ligue 1 season.
PSG have now won nine games from nine and took the lead against the seven-time champions of France in the 9th minute through a Neymar penalty. The weekend’s victory came only four days after they thrashed Red Star Belgrade 6-1 in the Champions League.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s side were reduced to 10-men after half hour when centre-back Presnel Kimpembe was shown a straight red for a nasty foul on Tanguy Ndombele.
Lyon only maintained their man advantage for 13 minutes before Lucas Tousart received his second yellow card and was dismissed in first half stoppage time.
Kylian Mbappe’s four goals came in a 13-minute spell in the second half, netting his first with a low strike off the post on the hour.
Lyon heads fell as Mybappe slid in his second, converted a cool finish for his hat-trick and stroked home his fourth from close range.
