Dembele and Kounde wanted by Tuchel in Chelsea

The 25-year-old is out of contract with Barcelona this summer and is preparing for departure, and Chelsea is reportedly offering a four-year deal for the French international. This season, Ousmane Dembele has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, as Thomas Tuchel plans to build for this summer. It has been reported that Tuchel is pushing for Jules Kounde from Sevilla to join Chelsea, having managed the 24-year-old in their spell together at Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea had planned to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla while under the ownership of Abramovich, but the deal fell through last summer, and the defender is on verbal terms with the Blues. Despite Chelsea’s long-standing interest in Ousmane Dembele, Chelsea is said to be facing competition from Liverpool. French giants PSGs desire to sign Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele has left Chelsea in an uncertain position in their pursuit of the 25-year-old. Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is out of contract at the Nou Camp in late June, meaning that he could leave Barcelona this summer on a free transfer. Reports began surfacing that Chelsea will be interested in landing Chelsea target Ousmane Dembele in a move which will see the World Cup-winning striker become one of the club’s first signings under Todd Boehly’s ownership.

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has joined the Bernabeu on a free transfer, having turned down Chelsea’s attempts to extend his contract. With Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger leaving, there is an extreme chance that Jules Counde from Sevilla joins this summer, having been assured that he would become Chelsea’s man of the match this summer following a spot in London. Chelsea is reported to have missed out on Sevilla center-half Jules Kounde, having decided to join Barcelona, despite having agreed with personal terms with the Premier League club last year. Burnley defender James Tarkowski is set to depart Turf Moor this summer when his contract ends, and there are several Premier League clubs interested in signing him.

Jules Kounde looks set for an essential role with Chelsea next year, with an entire pre-season to allow him to settle into the first team, which is sure to be an eventful one. It seems slightly unfair to tag Kunde as a substitute signing, given he is currently one of the best young centre-backs in world football, but that is precisely what he will be at Chelsea. Chelsea offered captain Cesar Azpilicueta a better two-year deal, with the option of a third, with manager Thomas Tuchel this month saying that the player had suggested that he wanted to move on after a decade at Stamford Bridge.
