PSG chairmen Nasser Al-Khelaifi sends death threats to Real Madrid staff – allegedly

By on 11th March 2022

PSG crashed out of the Champions League on Wednesday night despite having a 2-0 advantage on aggregate till the 60th min of the 2nd leg.

Having lost the first leg by 1-0 and then going behind again in the second leg, Real Madrid completely turned the match around its head by scoring 3 goals in a frantic 17 min spell.

Benzema scored all 3 and this match will surely be a feather in his cap!

It was Benzema 3, Mbappe 2, and ultimately Real Madrid 3, Paris 2.

After chasing the Champions League obsessively for the past decade or so, and facing utter disappointment each step of the way, PSG chairmen Nasser Al-Khelaifi lost the plot after the shock at the Spanish capital.

According to RMC Sport, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelafi went to meet with the referees following his team’s second-half defeat by Real Madrid and subsequent elimination from the Champions League.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino and Sporting Director Leonardo both stated that the first of Benzema’s three goals tonight should have been disallowed owing to a foul on Gianluigi Donnarumma.

This was apparently discussed between Al-Khelafi and the game’s referee, Dutchman Danny Makkelie.

They said that things became so bad that the police were summoned. Al-Khelaifi allegedly smashed one official’s equipment, and he and sporting director Leonardo were both “very aggressive” overall. So much so that his own bodyguards had to step in to stop him.

All of this was being recorded by a Real Madrid employee. And quite rightly so. Such an unpleasant, frightening, unprofessional, and dangerous scenario must be documented so that evidence may be gathered and the culprits can be held accountable.

Of course, Leonardo, according to the above source, did not want this information to be made public and requested that it be removed.

Despite the fact that UEFA officials were present and witnessed everything that happened.

Leonardo, at least, had the courtesy to inquire. Because Nasser Al-Khelaifi allegedly threatened to kill the Real Madrid employee who was filming the horrible occurrence.

According to Marca, Al-Khelaifi’s behavior was recorded by a Real Madrid employee, who will likely send the footage to UEFA to study for a possible punishment.

No matter how the team loses such kind of behavior is disgraceful to say the least from the chairperson.

PSG has not won the Champions League but they never might if the upper management exudes tantrums like these.

Losing the match doesn’t make you a loser, but reacting like this surely does!

PSG was truly defeated by Real Madrid and it showed on all fronts!
