Highlights: Sheff Utd 0-2 Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers started their 2020-21 Premier League season with a 2-0 win away to Sheffield United on Monday night.
Nuno’s side were two up inside six minutes through Raul Jimenez and Roman Saiss as the Blades have now lost four straight after they ended last season losing their last three.
Wolves’ opener came in the third minute with a controlled half volley from Raul following Daniel Podence’s cross from the left to pick out the unmarked striker.
The Mexican forced a save out of Aaron Ramsdale moments later and Roman Saiss doubled the visitors’ lead with a fine header from the ensuing corner.
Sheffield United hit the post through John Fleck in the second half but otherwise Rui Patrico’s goal was well-protected.
Saiss headed a corner narrowly wide and then saw his effort tipped onto the post by Ramsdale in the second half. Raul Jimenez’s volley on the follow up rolled wide and later the striker headed a corner against the base of the post.
