Highlights: Liverpool 4-3 Leeds

Leeds United were involved in a thrilling 4-3 loss away to Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The Lilywhites were playing in the top flight for 16 years.
Liverpool were awarded a penalty inside four minutes when Mohamed Salah’s goalbound effort was blocked by the outstretched arm of Luke Ayling. The Egyptian star duly converted.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side weren’t behind for long as Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison scored a fine solo effort by cutting inside on both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez before beating Alisson at his near post on 12 minutes.
Virgil van Dijk was next to get on the scoresheet as the Dutch centre-back was left unmarked from a corner to head home on 20 minutes.
Leeds showed their fighting spirit by equalising for a second time as Patrick Bamford gambled on a mistake from van Dijk to poke home across goal.
Liverpool weren’t to be denied a half-time lead as Mohamed Salah fired home a fine effort after a free kick was headed down in to his path.
It wasn’t until midway through the second half that Leeds got back on level terms for a third time. Mateusz Klich made a fine run into the box to get onto the end of a one-two and fire home.
Bielsa was denied a surprise point on his Premier League debut when substitute Rodrigo clumsily tripped Fabino in the penalty area with three minutes to go. Salah completed his hat-trick from the spot for victory.
