Highlights: RB Leipzig 2-2 Hertha Berlin

RB Leipzig’s inability to see out games continued on Wednesday afternoon as they conceded a late penalty to draw 2-2 at home to Hertha Berlin.
The visitors took the lead inside the opening 10 minutes when Marko Grujic produced a fine volley from a corner after the home side’s defence left the Liverpool loanee unmarked.
Neither side created much in open play during the first half and it would be from a corner that Julian Nagelsmann’s side found their equaliser. Centre-back Lukas Klostermann scored the first headed goal of his career midway through the first half.
RB Leipzig were reduced to 10 men just after the hour when Marcel Halstenberg picked up a second yellow card for a foul on Matheus Cunha. But they took the lead almost out of nowhere five minutes later when Patrik Schick’s 20-yard effort was spilled into his own net by Rune Jarstein.
The visitors have been 3-0 winners away to 1899 Hoffenheim and then 4-0 at home to Union Berlin in their two games since the 2019-20 Bundesliga season restarted and deserved at least a point from this game too. They got it when Cunha was hacked down inside the penalty area by Ademola Lookman. Substitute Krzysztof Piatek stepped up from the spot to make it 2-2.
