Highlights: Napoli 1-1 Barcelona

Napoli and Barcelona shared the spoils at the San Paolo Stadium on Tuesday evening as they played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League second round tie.
Dries Mertens gave the Italian side the lead on half hour with a long range strike that curled past a static Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Barcelona weren’t up to the races in the first half before putting a lot of pressure on the Napoli goal after the break. Quique Setien’s team equalised through Antoine Griezmann from close range just before the how.
Lionel Messi threatened time and time again by running at the Napoli defence but always ended up being tackled by the last man or finding his effort blocked by a stern Italian defence.
Arturo Vidal was shown his marching efforts in the final minute with two bookable offences in the same incident. Firstly, the Chilean midfielder committed a foul by lunging at Mario Rui and then headbutting the Napoli defender. He will be joined by Sergio Busquets on the suspension list for the second leg at the Camp Nou in three weeks’ time.
