Highlights: Brighton 1-1 West Ham

West Ham United picked up their first point of the new Premier League season with a 1-1 draw away to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Summer signing Leandro Trossard thought he had given the Seagulls a first half lead only for VAR to disallow the goal because of an offside in the build up.
A well-timed run from Javier Hernandez on the hour saw the Mexican striker played through one-on-one before scoring his 53rd Premier League goal – all from inside the penalty area.
The Hammers saw their lead disappear within five minutes as Trossard would not be denied a debut goal. The Belgian had earlier mishit an excellent opportunity but made up for it with an 18-yard strike across goal into Lukasz Fabianski’s far corner.
Club record signing Neal Maupay missed a sitter in the close minutes by firing over from eight yards out in the middle of the area.
Brighton were 3-0 winners away to Watford last weekend whilst West Ham were hammered 0-5 at home by Manchester City.
