Highlights: PSV 3-1 ADO Den Haag
PSV Eindhoven came from behind to record their first win of the 2019-20 Dutch Eredivisie season, beating ADO Den Haag 3-1 at the Philips Stadion on Sunday.
The visitors took a surprise lead when Tomas Necid outmuscled Erick Gutierrez before smashing the ball into the top corner from 15 yards.
Bruma equalised in the final minute of the first half when the Portuguese winger’s 20-yard effort took a wicked deflection to beat Robert Zwinkels.
PSV took charge of the game in the second half and went ahead on 52 minutes when Donyell Malen tucked the ball between Zwinkels’ legs on its way to the net.
ADO Den Haag offered little threat of an equaliser afterwards but it wasn’t until the first minute of stoppage time that the hosts scored their third. Substitute Cody Gakpo acrobatically bundled the ball home from close range. The 20-year-old winger had replaced the injured Hirving Lozano five minutes after the break.
