Highlights: Man Utd 4-0 Chelsea

Manchester United made a statement in their opening game of the 2019-20 Premier League season with a 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Frank Lampard, in charge of the Blues for the first time following his move from Derby County over the summer, saw his side take the game to United in the opening couple of minutes. The game turned on 18 minutes however, when Kurt Zouma was clumsy in his challenge on Marcus Rashford inside the penalty area, conceding a spot kick. Rashford stepped up to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side a 1-0 lead.
The Norwegian manager had named two of his three summer recruits in the starting lineup with Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both putting in impressive defensive performances.
Chelsea had tried taking the game to Manchester United in the second half but lacked a spark up front without Eden Hazard and an established striker. They were caught out on the counter-attack midway through the second half when Anthony Martial poked home from close range.
Rashford grabbed his second of the game less than two minutes later before substitute Daniel James wrapped up the scoring with his goal on his debut 10 minutes from time.
