Highlights: Real Madrid 3-2 Villarreal

Mariano Diaz scored a brace as Real Madrid beat Villarreal 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Sunday.
The one-time Dominican Republic international opened the scoring inside two minutes following a mistake from Santi Cazorla. Diaz was making only his third La Liga start of the season following his €23 million move back to the club from Lyon last summer.
Villarreal equalised only nine minutes later when Casemiro conceded possession, leading to Gerard Moreno scoring from the edge of the penalty area.
Centre-back Jesus Vallejo put the hosts back in front from close range, five minutes before half-time – the 22-year-old’s first goal for the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid had the three points in the bag when Mariano tapped home his second of the game from a Dani Carvajal cross less than five minutes into the second half.
To conclude an entertaining La Liga match, Jaume Costa scored an injury-time consolation for the visitors.
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid had already confirmed they will finish third in La Liga this season whilst Villarreal are five points above the relegation zone with two games to go.
