Highlights: PSG 1-1 Nice
Edinson Cavani saw his late penalty saved as Paris Saint-Germain were held 1-1 at home by Nice on Saturday.
The 2018-19 French Ligue 1 champions fell behind to a Ignatius Ganago strike one minute into the second half. Nice’s lead did not last for long as Neymar equalised from the penalty spot on the hour following Patrick Burner’s foul on Angel di Maria.
With Neymar still on the pitch, it was Cavani who had the opportunity to win the game for PSG but saw his penalty saved by Nice goalkeeper Walter Benitez in the third minute of stoppage time.
This was only the second time all season that Thomas Tuchel’s side have failed to win at the Parc des Princes in the league, whilst they have now only won one of their last seven in all competitions, including their penalty shootout defeat to Rennes in last weekend’s Coup de France final.
