Highlights: Derby County 2-0 QPR

By on 23rd April 2019

Harry Wilson kept his nerve to convert a 94th minute penalty to put Derby County back into the play-off spots on bank holiday Monday.

The Liverpool loanee then added a second in the 11th minute of stoppage time at Pride Park to see off Queens Park Rangers, 2-0.

Derby had looked like they would miss out on the chance to jump above both Middlesbrough and Bristol City, who both lost, until Luke Freeman’s clumsy foul on Jayden Bogle in the third minute of stoppage time.

Wilson held his nerve to blast his spot-kick below QPR goalkeeper Joe Lumley and into the bottom left-hand corner. The forward then sealed all three points on the counter-attack in the 11th minute of stoppage time to put the East Midlands club ahead of Middlesbrough on goal difference in the final play-off spot, and with a game in hand.

Earlier, both sides had chances to take the lead which included the visitors missing an open goal and the Rams hitting the post.
