Atalanta midfielder Alejandro Gomez will have been left the most disappointed of players on the pitch as the attacking midfielder fired in nine efforts on goal, four on target, without finding the back of the net.
The Nerazzurri will find it tough to finish in the Champions League places come the end of the season. With six games remaining they still have to face Napoli (away), Udinese (home), Lazio (away), Genoa (home), Juventus (away) and Sassuolo (home).
