Highlights: Man Utd 0-1 Barcelona

Barcelona took a huge step to booking their place in this season’s Champions League final four with a 1-0 win at Manchester United in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.

A Luke Shaw own goal on 12 minutes was the difference between the two sides as the hosts failed to test Marc-Andre ter Stegen on a single occasion over 90 minutes.

The Manchester United left-back was unfortunate to see Luis Suarez’s header deflect in off him from close range. The Uruguayan’s header had been going in the direction of teammate Philippe Coutinho for a goalline tap-in but for Shaw’s deflection.

Shaw later picked up a yellow card that will rule him out of the second leg due to suspension.

Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer’s side have it all to do in the second leg on Tuesday 16 April but should not be ruled out following the incredible comeback at Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round last month.
