Paris Saint-Germain are 13 points clear of Lille at the top of the French Ligue 1 following their 1-0 win over Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s side will be sweating over the fitness of striker Edinson Cavani ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League second round first leg tie at Old Trafford against Manchester United. The Uruguayan held his thigh after scoring a 42nd minute penalty and was subsequently replaced.
The Parisians will also be without Neymar in attack and come up against a United side that have won 10 of their 11 domestic games under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, since he replaced Jose Mourinho in December.
Tuchel only rested half of his regulars ahead of their important Champions League clash in England midweek and may now be regretting that should Cavani not recover in time for the first leg. Dani Alves played a holding midfield role this weekend, alongside Marco Verratti.
