Highlights: Lyon 2-1 PSG
French Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain suffered a surprise defeat as Nabil Fekir’s second-half penalty earned Lyon a 2-1 victory at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday.
Thomas Tuchel’s side had taken the lead through Angel Di Maria, when the Argentine fired past Anthony Lopes in the seventh minute.
However, Moussa Dembele headed in the equaliser for the hosts after goalkeeper Alphonse Areola misjudged the flight of Leo Dubois’s cross. Lyon snatched the win four minutes into the second half through Fekir’s penalty after Thiago Silva had fouled Dembele. PSG had seen more of the possession (55%), but Lyon won the shots on target count, 10 to nine.
Despite suffering their first league defeat of the season, PSG are still 10 points clear of Lille at the top of the table with two games in hand as they look to win a second successive title this year.
Lyon are a further three points in third place.
