Highlights: PSG 4-1 Rennes
Paris St-Germain maintained their unbeaten start to the 2018-19 Ligue 1 season to 20 games with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Rennes at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have dropped just four points and are 13 points clear of second-place Lille.
Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani netted in each half, with further goals from Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe in a comfortable rout over the team down in 10th in the table.
Rennes had actually cancelled out Cavani’s seventh-minute opener through Mbaye Niang on 28 minutes, before PSG stormed to victory with three unanswered goals in the second half. The Parisians have won 18 of their 20 league games so far this season.
PSG’s comfortable victory was done with Brazil forward Neymar, who fractured a metatarsal in their previous game against Strasbourg and is now doubtful for the Champions League second round first leg tie at Manchester United on Tuesday 12 February.
