Highlights: Bordeaux 2-2 PSG

By on 3rd December 2018

Bordeaux became the first team to take points off Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 this season as Les Girondins twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at the Matmut Atlantique on Sunday.

Neymar had given PSG a 1-0 half-time lead when he volleyed home Dani Alves’ cross in the 34th minute. However, the Brazilian superstar was substituted just before the hour with an apparent groin injury.

The substitute was made shortly after Jimmy Briand had equalised for the hosts. However, PSG looked set to win their 15th straight Ligue 1 game of the season when Kylian Mbappe restored their lead midway through the second half.

It wasn’t to be as Danish striker Andreas Cornelius headed in a late equaliser to end the Parisians’ winning league start. Angel Di Maria had struck both the post and bar in either half.

The draw is no blow for the defending champions as they still sit 14 points clear of second-placed Montpellier.
