Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night in blistering form as they made it five wins from five in Ligue 1 by thrashing St Etienne 4-0 at the Parce des Princes on Friday night.

Thomas Tuchel was without the suspended Kylian Mbappe and also decided to rest Neymar but it had no negative affect on the outcome of the match.

German international Julian Draxler opened the scoring midway through the first half before Edinson Cavani gave PSG a more comfortable lead by making it 2-0 from the penalty spot less than six minutes after the break.

Angel Di Maria and Moussa Diaby added goals late on to make it an emphatic victory for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The French champions will now travel to England to face last season’s runners-up in the Champions League in their opening group game of this season’s competition. Napoli and Red Star Belgrade are the other two teams in their group.
