Kylian Mbappe scored twice on his return from winning the 2018 World Cup with France as Paris Saint-Germain beat Guingamp 3-1 on Saturday.

The 19-year-old came off the bench to claim a brace in the final eight minutes of the game after PSG had trailed 0-1 at the break. Mbappe had been rested for the season opening 3-0 victory over Caen last weekend. His first goal was a tidy finish on 82 minutes, followed by a delightful chip over Karl-Johan Johnsson in the final minute.

Brazilian superstar Neymar had equalised for Thomas Tuchel’s side from the penalty spot on 52 minutes. Nolan Roux had given Guingamp a surprise lead after 20 minutes.

Edinson Cavani was absent for PSG following a hamstring injury picked up during this past summer’s World Cup whilst representing Uruguay.

At the end of the match, 40-year-old Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon swapped shirts with Guingamp’s Marcus Thuram. The forward is the 21-year-old son of Lilian Thurm whom played with Buffon at both Parma and Juventus.
