Highlights: PSG 3-0 Caen
Paris Saint-Germain began their Ligue 1 title defence with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Caen on Sunday despite a number of their superstars missing.
Edinson Cavani is still sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up at the World Cup, whilst Thomas Tuchel rested World Cup winners Kylian Mbappe, Presnel Kimpembe and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
40-year-old Gianluigi Buffon made his debut for the Parisians whilst Timothy Weah, the son of the legendary George Weah, scored his first league goal.
It took PSG just 10 minutes to take the lead through Neymar following a mistake from Caen goalkeeper Brice Samba.
Adrien Rabit made it 2-0 on 36 minutes following an assist from Angel Di Maria, before 18-year-old Weah scored in the final minute. There were starts for teenagers Colin Dagba, Stanley Nsoki, Moussa Diaby and Antoine Bernede for the hosts, whilst USA international Weah replaced Neymar in the final 10 minutes.
